My Job is Killing My Blog!

Have you noticed that my blogging has dipped dramatically recently?  Gone are the vlogs, few and far between are the written entries.  The hysterical, self-deprecating posts of my life are quickly dying.  Why?  Because when I when get home from spending all day on social networks, reading blogs, and other social media the last thing I want to see when I come home is another blog.  It reminds me of work.  Therefore, as my workload has intensified, my personal blogging has decreased.  This has made me quite sad because I love writing this blog for the eight of you.  I also enjoyed filming those ridiculous vlogs that will probably prevent me from holding public office one day.  I hope one day soon that I will be able to biweekly blog posts and keep you mildy entertained as I have in the past.  Until then, please check in periodically for any sign of life on this blog.  Have no fear loyal readers, BoumanBlog shall return!

So much to write about!

I have no time or energy to make a post.  I’m sorry, this blog has turned into a one large piece of dung very quickly.  There are so many topics that I could write about if I had time.  Farrah Fawcett dying.  Ed McMahon dying.  Pixie Lee Rose dying.  Michael Jackson dying.  My brown highlighted bangs.  Well, maybe we should clear that up now.  My roommate was dying her hair blonde and rubbed a little into my bangs.  Boom, before you know it, bangs are highlighted.  Now that I’ve written that crappy anecdote, this blog entry is vile enough that I will be forced to write a longer, more eloquent blog post to push this post far down in the depths of the BoumanBlog.  Otherwise I may have to repudiate myself from this blog entirely.

I’m sooo LA.

Last Friday I was fortunate enough to rub elbows with some some Hollywood types.  Can you tell I’m from Wisconsin?  My friend was bartending at  James Kyson Lee’s (from NBC’s Heroes) premiere viewing of Star Runners on the Sci-Fi channel.  I tagged along to the BelleVarado Studios in LA and was promptly turned into the “help.”  I assisted preparing everything behind the bar, at the buffet, and even a few chairs here and there.  It didn’t bother me, I was just stoked to be there.  If you’re reading this and live in the LA area, I KNOW you’re rolling your eyes.  I don’t care, I had so much fun socializing with actors, make up artists, set designers, writers, agents, PR, etc.  To me, it’s all so glamorous (even though I know better).  I live in LA but still feel so displaced from the entertainment industry.  That’s why I still get a kick out of shaking an actor’s hand and promptly seeing him on a large projection screen in front of me. jesse-emmy2

After the screening, my friend and I dipped into the Hollywood Hills.  We went to visit a mutual friend who was house sitting for one of her clients (she’s in PR).  While I am not at liberty to divulge this individuals name, I will say he or she acts on a very successful network television sitcom.  I’m not sure if I will get in trouble for this, but I took the liberty of getting my photo taken with the actor’s Emmy Award.  It’s actually much heavier than I had previously imagined.  Here’s a photo, let’s not investigate further, I don’t want anyone to get in trouble for this…including myself.

*If you’re on Facebook and read this blog, I invited ( or would like to invite) you to my BoumanBlog.com Facebook Fan Page.  Feel free to become a fan.  I know it’s a bit dorky and narcissistic, but I enjoyed making it and can help you make one if you need some assistance.  Thanks for reading my blog after yet another extended hiatus.
